Michael Hempel is responsible for worldwide management, strategy and success of Siemens Smart Home Solutions. He is based at Siemens HQ in Munich, Germany. Michael has over 14 years of experience in management positions within telecommunications and technology companies in the USA, Canada, Germany and Russia. Prior to Siemens, he was a Senior Management Consultant at Deutsche Telecom Consult (DETECON) in Germany. There, he was responsible for IP strategy development and execution of the commercial and consumer Internet businesses for both the residential and business markets. His experience of transferring IP into value added businesses spans his entire career. He holds a Master Degree in Economics from Ohio State University and an MBA (Betriebswirt) from University of Bonn.
